So, the only thing that I could say about this book that isn’t positive is the “woman leaves abusive husband and ends up in the arms of another woman” part of the plot. Although it probably happens more than anyone could know…

The Storytelling is absolutely amazing: greatly character development, plot twists, romance, suspense - this book has it all.

A side note, the details of Marty’s service in the Marine Corps sounds more like the details of someone serving in the Army. You may want to do a little more research into Marine Corps Customs and Courtesies. Also, consider Marty’s timeline she was a Major in the Marine Corps, as well as the duly elected sheriff of a county - meaning she would be in her mid 60’s at a minimum as of the time of the story. That doesn’t work considering the ages of her kids, as they are way too young. I’m not trying to nitpick, it has been driving my OCD mind crazy. If you have any questions regarding the subject feel free to ask me. (I served in the Marine Corps for 20 years).

The story was very good and the plot was riveting. The reason for four rather five stars was for poor editing even though this was the third edition for that very same reason. It distracted from the reading but not by much.

The story itself was lovely and am looking forward to the sequel. The description of the Adirondack area was so beautiful. Cinthia was so,sweet and Allison was so brave in the face of such danger. Marty was an interesting character and so was Carlie. Here is hoping the sequel is about them more than about Cin and Allie.

Great read.

This book had so much potential, an interesting interwoven plot, but it reads like a first draft, even though it's listed as a second edition.

I made so many highlights of things that needed correcting, I lost count. I made a list to back up my comment, but what's the point?

I'll leave you to ponder this instead - That girl be must hell and gone from Eagle Canyon...

Books like this give indie authors a bad name and that's a crying shame as some of my favourite authors are independently published.

Wonderful outdoor environment descriptions. Depth of scenery and details are very vivid.
Character development of two principals is adequate. Will read more from author.

This was one of those books that was packed with A lot of up and downs for both of the main characters… I also liked that the secondary characters of “Marty” was just as involved in this intriguing story. I look forward to reading the next book in this series! 👍⭐️

This novel was a very enjoyable and entertaining read. The author has a beautiful way of writing and makes you feel as if you are evolved in the scene you are reading about and know the people you are reading about. I just noticed a sequel so I will be reading it next. I read using prime Lending but will definitely be buying also

A easy reading love story. The characters were fun to know. The challenges the loving couple overcame helped them achieve unity/engagement.

Marvellous story. The author has put everything into this book, either from personal experience or diligent research, all the various scenarios feel really authentic from hiking the trails to the detail in ER. The love between the characters was touching and emotional and the many twists throughout kept me on edge until the last page. On a lighter note; there seems to be a lot of lesbians in the Adirondacks!

2.0 out of 5 stars Eagle Ridge - Read Something Else!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 13, 2019
Spoiler Alert- Eagle Ridge, the story started well in a beautiful setting, Ranger saves a beautiful woman in the woods, there was enough to keep me interested. Then it went off piste. The story line got abit ludicrous and annoying, I'm not sure swerving in to a layby to throw the lips on someone who has a badily broken ankle and is in a lot of pain is believable and indulging in a bit of self love! Whilst your lying with said ankle in a hospital bed seemed to be a good plot, I cant think of anything worse in either scenario. I Love fiction like the next person, but I just couldn't finish this book, I don't even care how it ends! This book is my 10th read this year! And will be my first and last from this writer.
