I actually picked up this book so I could make my wife some homemade bubble bath as a gift. I was able to follow the instructions in this book without fail and found that making your own bubble bath wasn't as hard or time consuming as I had imagined. Fragrance oils or essential oils? They're not the same.

I want to love this book, but only about 1/3 of the pages show up on my Kindle. The recipes I can see call for crazy amounts of essential oils, which makes me wonder if the author really understands the difference in fragrance oils and essential oils. One recipe called for one teaspoon of rose essential oil. Even an extremely conservative estimate for the cost of that amount of rose essential oil would be over $200. I can't imagine the author expects anyone to spend that for four bath bombs. Other recipes call for particular essential oils in amounts that far exceed safe dermal application. If I could see all the contents, I might make some of these, but with nowhere close to these amounts of essential oils.

The only reason I didn't give this five stars is the use of egg white in most of the bath recipes. I really want recipes that will last longer than three days and it kind of sounds a little icky. However I assume its ok to leave the egg white out. Other from that the recipes sound wonderful and I'm looking forward to trying them.

This is possibly the least helpful book I have ever bought. Whilst there are some recipes in this book - in fact over half of the book is dedicated to recipes - the rest of the book is not worth the money I paid for it. There is no helpful information as to where you might buy supplies. In the bath bomb part of the book - the how to do-it yourself says that if you have the following ingredients you can 'whip up a few balls of bubble in a snap', these ingredients do not mention corn starch but all of the recipes say you need it. The bubble bath part of the book just tells you about the history of bubble bath you then have to go to the recipes to find out how to make it. If you want this book to help you to start a business then definitely don't buy it as most of the bubble bath recipes have egg white in them so the bubble bath would have to be used very quickly. This is obviously a book for Americans as it mentions dollar stores.
